2020 Year 10 students Facebook Group

All students currently in Year 10 at MHS, you are invited to join the MHS Year 10 2020 Facebook group.

This will be an important form of communication between your Year Group, Careers, Year Advisors, Stage HT and Snr Study teachers during the next three years.
I will post 'jobs', scholarship info, school info and pretty much anything to do with Year 10 2020, and for each year you are at school till you complete Yr12 2022. Even if you are planning on leaving school before Yr12, this page will give you up to date and current information about job vacancies and other opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.

Digital Parents Showcase

Digital Parents Showcase SkillsOne has created the Digital Parents Showcase, a free 30 minute video for parents that promotes vocational education and training, industry trends, apprenticeships and traineeships and discusses post school careers options.
This video resource will only be available from 3 March to 31 May 2021, we encourage it to be watched during this time.
The video will cover the following information:
  • industry trends for the next 5 - 15 years
  • industry trends post Covid-19 impacts
  • Apprenticeships
  • Traineeships
  • School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs)
  • Opportunities in the Vocational Education and Training sector (VET)
  • How to support your child to make informed career choices
SkillsOne will additionally be hosting a video panel discussion with industry representatives and ambassadors on Tuesday 11 May (evening). Parents can pre-submit questions to be addressed on the evening via

University of Wollongong - Parent Newsletter

UOW Parents Newsletter Starting in April 2021, UOW will be sending distributing a newsletter specifically for parents/guardians of year 12 students. The newsletter will keep parents in the loop of important dates, define terms & jargon, invite to events & info sessions and provide answers to frequently asked questions. My Journey Virtual Expo will be held on Wednesday 28th April 2021 (9am to 5pm)

Welcome to the NSW Department of Education – My Journey Virtual Career Expo 2021.The Expo is a unique virtual opportunity for students and parents throughout NSW to interact with exhibitors through online chats receive on-site materials or resources that can be saved to a virtual backpack, which can be emailed to participants at the end of the event.

This will be the largest event of its kind in the state and attracting local and national exhibitors, including leading education and training providers and some of the state’s largest employers assisting students to make informed decisions about their future.
