2021 Year 10 students Facebook Group

All students currently in Year 10 at MHS, you are invited to join the MHS Year 10 2021 Facebook group.

This will be an important form of communication between your Year Group, Careers, Year Advisors, Stage HT and Snr Study teachers during the next three years.
I will post 'jobs', scholarship info, school info and pretty much anything to do with Year 10 2021, and for each year you are at school till you complete Yr12 2023. Even if you are planning on leaving school before Yr12, this page will give you up to date and current information about job vacancies and other opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.

Taronga Zoo Work Experience - Feb 2022

Applications close 28 February 2022, unless program reaches capacity earlier. Taronga Zoo Sydney offers school work experience opportunities for students in years 10 – 12 who are interested in pursuing a career in zoo keeping, animal care, tourism or zoo horticulture. Speak to your school careers adviser who will liaise with Taronga on your behalf. Work experience undertaken at Taronga Zoo Sydney allows students to: Observe a variety of work being done in the fields of zoo keeping, animal care, zoo horticulture or guest services and education Undertake supervised work appropriate to the student’s skill level Ask questions about a zoo workplace Gain skills related to being at work at the zoo Investigate training and employment opportunities with Taronga

Are you considering a career in medicine?

Free online course with the University of New England where you can experience what it would be like to work in the medical field.

The Program can be accessed at There are five modules, with each module taking between 10 to 15 minutes to complete. It can be accessed at any time and be completed at your own pace.

Early release of HAC grades and ATAR for 2021 students

Results will be delivered by SMS and email from 6am on Thursday 20 January 2022 with merits lists published on the NESA website from midday on 20 January.

The ceremony for students who have achieved first place in a HSC course will be livestreamed from NESA’s YouTube channel at 11am on 19 January and published on the NESA website from midday.

The Universities Admission Centre will release ATARs to students from 9am on 20 January.
